Get things started..

Now things are plugged in its time to get the basics sorted.

First thing to do is start the auto setup app that will setup raspbian. Once done I will need to sort out a static ip for the PI so I can access it from my home network.
To set the static ip you can do it in two locations. The first is the gui, simply click the adapter and add the info for your network. The second is to edit the dhcpcd.conf file. Find the adapter in the list, add the ip for the device add the subnet mask then add the ip range of the network and dns address. Save the file and reboot ( image to follow)

With network access sorted we need to start working on the applications we need in order to do what we want it to do.
