Now that the PI has arrived I can start the project.
So what is the project? Well I plan to create a touch screen panic button for my disabled mother. To that end I have ordered a Raspberry PI 2 along with a 2.8 inch screen, ssd with the os installed, hdmi cable and wifi dongle.
The aim is to create a system that can send an email or text when a button is pressed. There will be two buttons on screen, this will cover two scenarios with each producing an email / text containing different content.
